As a mom, friend, social media user, human in society today, or any combination of those, our senses are constantly being appealed to through marketing. What is the latest, newest thing we need? What is going to make life easier? How can I look better? Feel better? BE better? It’s tough to feel constantly assaulted! And, it’s absolutely exhausting when those promises don’t come to fruition.
By the time I hit my third year of momming, I was over. it. all. Over the gimmicks. Over the false promises. Over the social media marketing ploys. Over the overly-assertive moms peddling sub-par products just to make a buck. I wasn’t buying it. Literally and figuratively.
Then, something changed. Actually, nothing changed. All of that remains absolutely true. But, out of all of the same ol’ products and punch lines and pushiness, I found a gem in all of that rough. A beauty company that is dedicated to making people feel better, encouraging others to lift each other up, and celebrating every person’s unique characteristics and contributions to this crazy thing we call life.
I was charmed.
